About My Practice

NOTE: I offer in-person therapy or online sessions.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist offering services to individuals and couples in the greater Philadelphia area.

Approach to Therapy

My work is guided by psychodynamic and relational ideas. This means I believe the unique relationship we develop is a tool to gain meaning and healing. I focus on the here and now while maintaining a curiosity about how your past and unconscious motivations shape you.

I work with most individuals on a long-term basis, but I'm also open to focusing on short-term challenges and solutions.  I will listen closely to your needs, and I will share my questions and observations.

Fees & Logistics

I charge $160 per session for individuals and $180 for couples, and I ask for a commitment to one 50-minute session each week. I occasionally have sliding scale spots available (currently full as of January 2025). I do not accept insurance but can provide invoices if you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance for out-of-network care.

My Background

I have a depth of experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, obsessive thoughts, trauma, dissociation, sexual abuse, substance use, and existential concerns.

In 2024, I completed two years of advanced training in relational psychoanalysis through the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia. I also completed a three-year cycle of courses (nearly 100 hours total) in complex trauma and dissociation as part of a certificate program offered by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.

I currently volunteer as a pro bono therapist for A Home Within and as a mentor through the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology mentorship program.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade in communications and legislative/grassroots advocacy on LGBTQ and domestic violence issues. I was also a stay-at-home parent with a large garden. I graduated from Swarthmore College in 1999 and the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research in 2016.
